The Community Development and Service Center at the University of Jordan has assumed a pioneering and exceptional role among its counterparts in Jordanian and Arab universities. The Center's administration has strived to create an innovative model distinguished by new, creative, and qualitative ideas — moving steadily away from conventional, overused, or impractical concepts.

Over the years, the Center has achieved remarkable accomplishments that reflect its strong local and regional reputation as a model and incubator for volunteerism and community service. This has been realized through broad partnerships with various governmental and civil institutions as well as civil society organizations. Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the educational and academic sectors, the Center has continued its work in developing plans, strategies, and practical models that align with the fabric of Jordanian society and support the most vulnerable groups. These efforts span key areas of community service — development, health, education, and public service.

The Center has succeeded in generating innovative ideas, becoming a recognized hub of expertise supported by the capabilities of its staff and the guidance of its advisory board — a group of experienced and pioneering figures in innovation.

Here, I would like to highlight some of the Center's most notable programs, which stand as important milestones in its journey. Among them is the “Student Corner" initiative, which helps students obtain part of their clothing needs in a way that preserves their dignity and modesty, and the “Sacrifice Program", which has supported many families in leading decent lives. Additionally, several service programs have been implemented within the university campus, leaving a positive and lasting impact on our students.
