Student Corner Project
The project aims to enhance the university's role in providing actual support to its beloved students from low-income families by securing their clothing needs for free on a regular basis throughout their university years. This initiative contributes, even if modestly, to alleviating the burdens of life on both the students and their families. It also fosters a sense of unity and solidarity among members of the university community. Additionally, it aims to strengthen community partnerships with public and private sector institutions to provide necessary support to students from low-income backgrounds.
The "Student Corner" project allows all university students from low-income families to benefit from free clothing available through the project in a manner that respects their academic and social status, following simple, easy, and highly confidential procedures. The project ensures the clothes provided meet the students' needs for university life while aligning with seasonal climate changes. It also offers various high-quality items suitable for both male and female students.
Healthy Gardens Project
The idea behind this project is to select appropriate locations within the university campus to establish health gardens. These gardens are equipped with outdoor sports facilities that can endure changing weather conditions, catering to university students and allowing them to practice various physical activities in open-air settings.
Project Objectives:
- Encourage university students to adopt healthy lifestyles and spend their free time productively by providing health gardens on campus, permanently and freely equipped with sports facilities for outdoor physical activities.
- Establish fitness gardens at various locations within the university campus, and extend the concept to areas outside the university to serve the local community. These aim to promote productive use of free time, physical fitness, and bodily well-being.
- Enhance the role of the university and its donors in offering valuable community services that provide health and sports awareness while also serving as recreational activities.
Public School Project
This project targets public schools under the Ministry of Education and aims to improve educational efficiency and infrastructure.
The project is based on four main programs:
Academic Program (Tutoring):
Aims to improve academic skills for both primary and secondary levels, with participation from various university faculties. It is supervised academically by the College of Educational Sciences and administratively by the Community Development and Service Center. Volunteer hours range from 20 to 50 hours.
Awareness and Educational Program:
Targets both staff and students, including diverse awareness lectures and medical days. The program spans 10 hours divided over multiple days.
Environmental Program:
Aims to improve the surrounding environment, including infrastructure, painting and planning playgrounds, planting, and general maintenance.
Social Integration Program:
Focuses on providing psychological and social support, such as therapy sessions, skill-based workshops, recreational and joyful campaigns, university visits, and more.
Environment Awareness and Cleanliness Project
The Community Development and Service Center seeks to enhance the university's role in environmental awareness and education. This is directed towards serving the campus environment and improving its infrastructure, which has become an urgent necessity after the rehabilitation of university facilities and its classrooms. The university's goal of transforming the campus into a smart campus necessitates improving its overall appearance and aesthetic value. Additionally, the project aims to promote environmental culture and awareness among students to maintain campus cleanliness, organization, and the safety of university property.
Accordingly, a unique, sustainable service-awareness project was organized, the first of its kind at the university. It aims to expand the community service provided by the university to the local community in the fields of cleanliness and environmental awareness, in collaboration with university students and graduates.
