Community Service Department
Community service is a fundamental goal of the University of Jordan and represents a key strategic tool for achieving its plans for sustainable development and activating its social role
The Community Service Department was established to organize programs and activities that meet the needs of the community, contribute to solving its problems, and enhance its capabilities. The department aims to unify efforts in the field of volunteer work and participation in community development and service at all levels of the university
The department is also keen to promote social responsibility among students and members of the teaching and administrative staff by providing opportunities for volunteering in community service programs and awareness activities in various fields, such as environmental campaigns inside and outside the university. Campaigns aimed at serving the less fortunate in society, campaigns to support the National Blood Bank and medical days, and campaigns aimed at public schools all aim to improve the living conditions of the target groups and promote environmental and social awareness among the university community and the local community
The department is also keen to ensure the rights of volunteers are prioritized by documenting their participation through a computerized community service system that monitors all student participation and calculates it within the community service program
